Quilling Card had originally been a B2B business and in recent years had put more of a focus on its e-commerce direct to consumer business.
The original Shopify store had been completely customized with third party developers and was extremely limiting in its compatibility with recent shopify updates.
Additionally, the user experience led a lot to be desired. Poor search functionality, lack of filtering and sorting in product collections, and limited design customizations.
In 2025, it was time for an upgrade.
I led a team to completely reimagine www.QuillingCard.com and improve its user experience with a strong emphasis on mobile. Utilizing a Shopify theme as the base we then completely customized the template for our brand with the end user in mind. We also worked with developers for specific customizations that were not native to the shopify theme.
The end result was a refreshed site that still felt like Quilling Card but elevated and part of the 21st century.
A more user friendly mega menu with image highlights and better hierarchy.
A intuitive search that gives product recommendations and other related content such as blogs.
Filters for easier shopping experience in large collections of products and in line banners to advertise current promos.
