I have always been frustrated with the lack of female golfers and how it has become a male dominated sport. I started a social group called “Golf Girlies” that is women hosted golf events for women. I found so many of my friends were discouraged to try golf because they had no girl friends to go with or because it was something for “the boys”. Golf Girlies takes the pressure off and organizes community events on and off the course for women to socialize and feel comfortable learning the sport.
